Entering Races

USSA and NYSSRA Membership

To participate in NYSSRA races, athletes must join the New York State Ski Racing Association (NYSSRA) as well as the United States Ski Racing Association (USSA).

NYSSRA registration is now automatically included with your BMRC registration with AdminSports.

  • USSA
Go to ussa.org and click on Alpine > Membership Tools > Become a Member

Register by mid-October to avoid paying late fees. Racers may be asked to show their USSA card when they arrive on race day. Please teach your racers to carry their cards with them. USSA identification cards are available online for printing from my.ussa.org.

Entering Races at Bristol Mountain

You may register online for any races at Bristol Mountain. This method is convenient but the funds are drawn upon registration and refunds are not issued until after the race. Additionally, you are required to pay fees for this convenience.

BMRC athletes should not pay the full price for home (Bristol Mountain) events!
As a BMRC member and Bristol Mountain season pass holder, your athlete does not pay the full race price for home events. When you are registering through the race list on the Admin Ski Racing site:

  • Go to AdminSkiRacing to view Bristol Mountain’s full race list
  • Ensure that your athlete’s home mountain is set to BM or BMRC in their AdminSkiRacing profile. The discounted pricing will appear during checkout.

Also, per NYSSRA recommendations all NY state races close 48 hours in advance. The club officers have decided to accept late entries again this year with an additional $25 late fee provided the race has not filled. For further information on race entries see the NYSSRA Manual section 2 page 7.

Entering Other Races

The Race Schedule for the year can be found on the NYSSRA site for each level: U16+ and U14. At the U14 level BMRC participates in the Council Genesee Valley. As you scroll down the U14 schedule, you will notice sections for Inter-Council SG Events, Open Events & Invite Events. Be sure to select the appropriate Inter-Council Race with Niagara. Open means that anybody from any council (by race class as indicated) can attend these races. Kandahar Championships and U14 States are INVITE only, as indicated on the schedule.
